A photo a day project.
In early 2011 I decided to undertake a major photographic project. A project to take at least one photo a day. It may not sound that difficult especially for a professional photographer, but part of the challenge was to force me to continually think outside the box, to force myself to try different things and to evolve my style. To see the world in a new light so to speak.
The large part of the motivation for this project was the London winter, the short grey days coupled with what was for me a bitter cold, pretty much ensured that my camera was not getting any use. I started on the 28th of February and had my camera with me everywhere I went ensuring that I was able to get a photo every day. It wasn’t all plane sailing I did miss a couple days from a crippling Migraine headache but my project was achieving what I set out to do.
Unfortunately my project was cut short when in Barcelona my camera bag was stolen. This left me without a camera for several months and missing a memory card that had about a month worth of my photos.
I will likely try a similar project again in the future as it was good fun and a nice challenge that really reminded me why I became a photographer.
